Mrs Richardson
School Counsellor & Parent Advisor, Senior Mental Health Lead
Hi My Name is Ali (aka Mrs Richardson)..
If this is your first time with us, or you are a returning family, I want you to know that you are an important part of our school community or, as we like to call you, our extended family.
My aim within my role is to be a champion for families and children, someone who listens, supports, and helps connect you with the right resources — whether that’s advice on routines, help with housing or finances, or guidance through tougher times like bereavement, family breakdown, financial difficulties or addiction. Sometimes, what we all really need is just to feel heard, seen, and cared for.
Parenting and 'Familying' is a journey, and one I personally know is filled with highs and lows. I encourage you to take it one day at a time. Each day will bring something new — a challenge, a success, or maybe just a small moment of joy. Remember, investing in your child is about your time and presence, not money. It’s about being there, really being there, and seeing your child as the unique individual they are, without comparing them to others.
Successful parenting isn’t about never struggling; it’s about those times when you do struggle and still keep pushing forward. We want to challenge both children and families to be the best versions of themselves, supporting each other along the way. Here, we believe there are no problems — only solutions. You only get out what you put in, so let’s work together to create a positive, nurturing environment for everyone.
We also understand how important wellbeing is — not just for children, but for parents and staff too. I am also Senior Mental Health Lead, focusing on wellbeing across our community. We help implement boundaries, routines, and structures because these give children the stability they need to thrive.
As we move forward, I want you all to feel like you belong here. This school isn’t just a place for learning; it’s a place where you and your children are valued and supported every step of the way. We’re here to guide you, to celebrate your successes, and to stand with you through challenges.
Finally, I want to remind you that your involvement matters. Your engagement, your support, and your belief in your child’s potential make a huge difference. Together, let’s make this a year full of growth, discovery, and confidence for every child and family.
We look forward to working with all of you and welcoming you into our school family. Let’s make this journey one to remember!
