The Key Worker Approach

What is a Key Worker?

Every child at Beechdale has a key worker assigned to them. This member of staff will be the main point of contact for you and more importantly for your child. You will be told who your childs key woker is when they start Beechdale. The key worker will get to know you and your child really well so they can understand and meet their needs.

The key worker will make observations and monitor your child’s progress. This understanding will help them plan learning activities based on your child’s individual interests and needs. They will give you verbal updates and written summaries about how well your child is progressing in their learning and development.

As a parent, if there's anything you want to discuss or anything you're worried about, you can arrange to talk to your child's allocated key worker in the first instance.
